Our boys said that they were not going to play here.

View in browser I set up a new housekeeping center in my classroom. It isn't very big but I love it. I included lots of loose parts for food, a few dishes, and a few aprons and scarves for dress up. As soon as our students walked into the classroom and saw the new house keeping center, one of my boys said, "We are not going to play there!" I am pretty sure he even said, "that is dumb" but since my hearing can be a little off, I rolled right on past the comments and trusted that it was a good idea. As soon as it was time to play in centers, where did the boys go? They headed straight for the house keeping center and stayed there for over half of our morning. And where were the girls? Well they decided to play in the block center. I just never know what the children will choose to do which is one of the reasons I LOVE to give them the choice! I hope your day is amazing!
